SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Strategy Manager plays a key role in driving the strategic planning and execution agenda of the Bank. The role is responsible for supporting the development of high-impact strategies, providing data-driven insights, coordinating strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment between business plans and the Bank’s long-term objectives. The role supports senior leadership with analysis, planning, and execution of strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Execution
• Support the formulation and documentation of the Bank’s strategic plans in coordination with Executive Management and Board directives.
• Coordinate and facilitate the annual strategic planning cycle, ensuring timely input from all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure departmental business plans are aligned with the overall Bank strategy.
Market, Competitor, and Performance Analysis
• Conduct deep-dive analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies.
• Analyze internal performance to identify growth drivers and areas of improvement.
• Produce comprehensive presentations and reports for Executive Management and Board-level discussions.
Strategy Communication
• Prepare strategy-related content for internal and external audiences, including senior leadership, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with communication teams to ensure consistent strategic messaging across the organization.
Support Strategic Initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and monitor key strategic initiatives.
• Track initiative progress and provide status reports with clear metrics and insights.
• Contribute to post-implementation reviews, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Business Case Development
• Develop financial models and business cases to evaluate new initiatives, partnerships, or acquisitions.
• Conduct scenario analysis and forecast future outcomes to support investment decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Build strong working relationships with internal business units, senior leadership, and external consultants.
• Act as a trusted advisor by translating strategy into actionable plans that business units can implement.
Team Development
• Coach and mentor junior team members to build internal capabilities within the Strategy & Transformation team.
• Promote a high-performance culture, being a role model for quality of work, project delivery, and teamwork
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in banking or financial services in relevant roles, with 3 years of strategy consulting preferred.
