Role Statement The Security & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the protection of bank assets, employees, and customers by implementing and managing comprehensive security and safety policies. This role oversees risk assessments, physical security systems, emergency response planning, and access management while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The manager coordinates with law enforcement and regulatory bodies, supervises control room operations, and manages security vendors to maintain a high standard of security. Additionally, they oversee security resource allocation, maintain security infrastructure, support project execution, and provide guidance to internal teams on security and safety protocols.
Key Objectives
Security Policy & Risk Management
Develop and implement security policies to safeguard bank assets, employees, and customers.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with banking security regulations and industry best practices.
Maintain proper documentation of security-related records and approvals.
Physical Security Management
Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access controls.
Ensure security personnel are trained and strategically positioned at key locations.
Implement and update emergency response plans for incidents like robberies and unauthorized access.
Act the custodian of Head Office Keys.
Emergency & Crisis Response
Develop and lead crisis management protocols for security breaches or emergencies.
Conduct regular security drills and training sessions for employees and security staff.
Establish an effective incident reporting system for timely response and resolution.
Employee & Customer Safety
Train bank staff on security protocols, including threat recognition and response.
Ensure a secure and welcoming environment for both customers and employees.
Promote awareness programs to help employees detect suspicious activities.

Access Management
Manage access card inventory and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
Ensure access rights are managed in accordance with Human Resources and Operational Risk directives.
Ensure audits are conducted to verify that branches and related premises comply with access control protocols.
Compliance & Security Audits
Conduct internal security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Ensure bank security operations comply with local and national regulations.
Maintain records of security incidents and generate reports for management review.
Coordination with Law Enforcement & Regulatory Bodies
Work closely with law enforcement agencies to assist in criminal investigations.
Report and coordinate responses to security incidents involving external threats.
Stay updated on new security risks and best practices through industry collaboration.
Communicate with government authorities for Security & Safety approvals.
Vendor & Third-Party Security Management
Manage security service providers, including security guards and system vendors.
Ensure third-party vendors comply with the bank’s security standards.
Evaluate and implement new security technologies to enhance protection.
Security Resource Allocation
Allocate resources efficiently to maintain optimal security operations.
Regularly assess and upgrade security infrastructure as needed.
Security & Safety Policy and Procedures Document
Oversee the implementation of the Security and Safety Plan.
Regularly update the document to align with the latest changes and prevailing rules and regulations.
Systems Maintenance
Maintain and supervise CCTV systems, Access Control, Alarms, Fire suppression, etc.
Operate and maintain all systems related to Security
Security Briefings
Brief Head GSD on security threats and mitigation plans.
Assist Head of GSD during Management briefings.
Control Room Management
Supervise daily Control Room operation.
Monitor surveillance systems.
Respond to security incidents.
Maintain communication with security teams.
Ensure system functionality and maintenance.
Record and report incidents.
Ensure compliance with security policies.
Oversee the training of security staff for control room operations.
Bank’s Pool Vehicles
Act as the custodian of Banks pool vehicles.
Projects Execution Support
Provide essential Security & Safety support during project execution.
Supervise project visitors as needed to ensure compliance with Security & Safety standards.
Support Guest Relation team
Provide necessary support to the Guest Relations team to ensure adherence to Security & Safety measures.

Drive continuous process improvement through innovative, automated, and digital solutions once required

Ensure adherence to the bank's policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all operational activities.

Candidate Specifications
Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in banking security, risk management, or physical security operations.
